The iPad has really transformed the way that some musicians make music. With the powerful processor and easy to use touch interface the tablet is quickly becoming the musos choice of instrument.
A good example is the now legendary Garage Band app that just seems to do everything that a budding musician could want, it's music making functions make back in the day software like the esteemed Cake Walk seem so primitive as a music making program in contrast.
However a new trend is on the horizon , and that is plug and play instruments and music devices that use the Apple proprietary connector to hook up to the iPad, we're watching these developments with interest and when legendary music hardware makers like EVENTIDE jump on the bandwagon we expect a whole new revolution in music devices for the iPad.
