How to use Android and iOS to transform Traditional Business

We've written on a lot of business specific apps, both for Android and iOS. Now what we're starting to notice is a definite sway towards normal, traditional businesses using business apps to change the way they go about their day to day activities.

A prime example is many retail suppliers, such as barcode scanner businesses and cash register suppliers. As we all know one of the easiest AR apps to make is a simple barcode scanner that uses a phones camera (of any megapixel size) to scan barcodes in order to conduct price comparison via a linked website.

In the face of these AR apps stealing their traditional customers it's a case of adapt or die for some physical business types. That's why Kudos go out to the company that provides POS system , instead of fighting against the Smartphone revolution they have embraced it and now use custom apps in conjunction with their point of sale equipment.

That's today's Smartphone business lesson: Don't fight against apps stealing your customers-use them yourselves to increase your marketbase. In the fast moving business apps world you can't afford to be conservative but have to embrace these new technologies to stay current. At the moment apps are the hottest thing in the tech world-embrace and expand.

NDA For VideoGames and Apps

Here is a game companies NDA to use for your app and videogame reviews. It is an original Non Disclosure Agreement forwarded to us by an App Development Studio. I have of course taken names of Companies and individuals out of the NDA so you can use it for your own Game Studio's purposes. The original idea behind this conractual agreement between the game review site and the game developer was to allow us to Test Their App without fear of disclosing game secrets. It is a standard NDA so can be used for the purposes of having your app reviewed or tested by Video Game Journalists. It has been specifically drafted by a specialist gaming lawyer so should be fine to use for app disclosure legalistic purposes:

Webconferencing on iPad

Is the iPad an effective tool for web conferencing?
Firstly it must be understood that there is no real substitute for real face to face interaction with customers, the iPad and other tablets can't replace that. However as business has evolved to a point where it's more than feasible to have different branches of your company at separate global locations, web conferencing has become the defacto standard for weekly business meetings and feedback.
My argument is that as technology like iPad's have become an industry and personal standard for mobile computing , so has the need for a global business to use these tools for their conferences become not the luxury it once was but a necessity.

How can we improve Web Conferencing on iPad
With Apple Airplay and the ability to put the iPad's screen onto another monitor or television a whole new dimension of tablet web conferencing has been opened up. A normal web conference involves a talking head scenario-fine if you're trying to observe non verbal cues, haptics and paralanguage . Not so fine for delivering content. However if a person in a web conference on their iPad is able to project their figures, data, meta statistics or graphics alongside their own image then with the use of Airplay another participant in the conference can talk using the iPad screen and simultaneously project the other data onto a separate screen

Is the iPad powerful enough to web conference and display a virtual monitor?
That is a question that I'm going to have to leave to the developers of web conferencing tools for iOS, as a merely speculative article I'm hoping that these ideas will be taken up as they could have groundbreaking future results for a new level of iPad business involvement.

Making money with your Android Phone

Angel Android income system
Android phones are quickly gaining a reputation for having some of the most business savvy apps available for Smartphones today. It is surprisingly easy to find apps for making money, marketing, and business advertising on Google Play.

One of our sponsors has just released an app: Guardian Angel Income System which really opens up a lot of doors to financial investing with your Android phone.

Cleverly the app is also a new breed of Android business apps which make it very easy and convenient for handy services like the Guardian Angel Income system to advertise their business and products via the medium of apk files.

The open eco system of Android and its various iterations make it very easy for small (and large) businesses to bring their ideas and messages to the Smartphone owning demographic. Unlike the tightly controlled Apple App Store where it is extremely difficult for small and indie developers to have their apps published the Linux based Android embraces any and all efforts.

So if you want or need a solid app for increasing your wealth and are lucky enough to be an Android owner then pop on over to the Guardian Angel Income System website and see what they have to offer.

Rare Speechtrans Ultimate review :Translates Writing and Voice in over 15 Languages

Ever wished you could understand another language whether it was a friend, a student, or a stranger?
Speechtrans Ultimate may be the smartphone translation app for you. It is available for both Androids and Iphones. Not only does it translate your voice quite accurately into words, it also reads what language you want it to translate to. Input your voice (55 second limit) or text in one language and have the app write and say it in another language. The 55 second limit recording time should be enough for most uses. You may even copy text from other apps and place them into the program for translation. There's choices from:
English,
EU French,
Canadian French,
Italian,
German,
Spanish (EU, US, MX),
Korean,
Dutch,
Swedish,
Norwegian,
Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese),
Russian,
Danish,
Japanese,
Portuguese,
Polish,
Outputs also include
Arabic, Czech, Greek, Finnish, Haitian Creole, Hungarian, Turkish.

Detailed reviews of this app is hard to find. This may be the most informative summary of the app(and it's missing testing of a lot of features). Some of the user reviews from GooglePlay have indicated that the smartphone app have saved a persons life, helped them out in a foreign language class, and allowed them to speak with strangers from other countries. Although I can't vouch for the integrity of those reviews, I think it's certainly possible for those review to be honest and true. There are some negative user reviews based on the permissions that the application asks to use. You also need Edge/3G/Wifi/4G or possibly an LTE connection during use of the application, except when using it for previous recordings because the recordings are kept in memory. Having that capability can be very convenient. .
Quicky and Easy to get Translations

The free version allows one session of use with the voice recording. After that you will have to download other apps to accumulate hours of use for Speechtrans Ultimate. After the trial runs out you may still have the software read your text in the accent of the chosen language, but it doesn't translate anymore. With the purchased version, Speechtrans Pro, you get Free Lifetime Updates to new languages. That's a really nice perk. I've only tried the app once and it was with trying English to English and English to Japanese. Although I don't speak Japanese, I've watched a lot of Japanese dubbed Anime. In my opinion the Japanese sounded a bit unclear. I haven't experimented with that many voice regonition apps, but this certainly did work way better than expected. A few of my words were guessed incorrectly by the program, but what voice recognition software doesn't have that problem? The misses were far less than my experiences with other voice applications.  I can definitely imagine the usefulness of this app during travels(if you are in an area with Wifi). I haven't been able to test out the facebook feature, almost instant translation during a conversation feature(Interprephone feature), or sms translations that some user reviews have reported. The app costs $9.99 a month, or $41.94 for 6 months (averages $6.99 a month), or $59.88 for a 1 year subscription ($4.99/month). If you're looking for an Android translator with multiple features and are in need of a professional translation service on a subscription basis then SpeechTrans might be what you are looking for.

Android App for Stock Market Trading

Android based
Correlation Trading
App
Stock Market trading apps can be of benefit to both "casual" traders and seasoned Wall Street Veterans. We've come across an Android stock market app that stands out from the pack of trading apps because of its very niche appeal. Correlation Trading is the backbone of the Android financials app simply entitled: Correlation Trading. Coming from the very appealingly named "Trade While You Golf" software studio.
Indeed the need for a Correlation Trading app on your Android Phone is something that we can imagine part time traders and those needing the extra leisure time away from the office using, who wouldn't want to make money from the Stock Market while enjoying a round of Golf!
Does the Correlation Trading app make trading away from Wall Street or The City possible?
Not being a trader I'm not going to be able to give a clarified opinion on that but will at least introduce those interested in a free Android stock market trading app on Google Play to the features of this very unique financials app:

Android App Resources for Traders

  1. The Android Financial App is based on the main indices of the US, Europe and Asian market indices
  2. The mathematics behind the trading app seem very comprehensive and well researched with financial variables such as the long/short position being influenced by a variable Open Close Range of a selected Trading Index
  3. Different parameters can be adjusted by the trader accordingly with a stop loss and profit take level open to adjustment
  4. The ability to close trades according to values the trader pre defines
As I've previously stated my Stock Market experience is limited , but from a virtual layman's perspective the Correlation Trading App does appear both comprehensive and well thought out. If you're in the business then a few minutes downloading Correlation Trading App from Google Play would be well worthwhile.

Best Apps for Payday

At Payday time it's a natural urge to go shopping, well guess what combine your Mobile Phone with The Coupons App and you might still have some money left by the end of the month.

Money Saving Apps are ubiquitous but there's none more powerful than The Coupons App . If you haven't yet heard of this app for getting discounts then I'm afraid your ignorance has probably cost you hundreds of dollars. We've actually featured the app on Gametrender a few times already and will keep on featuring it as it just grows and grows , with more and more shops, restaurants, gas stations and popular stores jumping on the voucher app bandwagon.

With some nostalgia I remember my childhood when my gran would fastidiously cut out coupons from the back of promo leaflets to make some crucial savings, now with Smartphone Technology having dozens of dog eared and folded coupons in your wallet is as archaic as using cold hard cash. With a powerful voucher app like this one just simply sidle up to the cashier and flash the voucher on your 'phones screen to get some big discounts.

Features of the Coupon App

  • Barcode Scanner
  • Find the Cheapest gas Prices
  • Share coupons on Facebook etc.
  • Real time geographically delivered coupons and savings direct to your iPhone or Android when you're out shopping
Download this powerful Payday and month long savings app, with possibly the best vouchers and coupons available for your phone from: http://thecouponsapp.com/download

Clashes between PSP Vita , its rumoured Android OS and Xperia Play

SCE Insider PSP Vita Exclusive

Does the PSP Vita have an Android OS? It was originally touted too, but that function seems to have disappeared . And where does the Xperia Play and other Sony "Play Certified" Handsets fit into this story. Gametrender research has found an insider source from SCE who, in this article, is going to blow the lid open on intra company Sony Gaming Politics, the future of the PSP Vita and why the Xperia Play is holding the Vita back.

  • In a recent expose of the Vita our insider gave us many valuable facts about the future games for PSP Vita. Apparently the Vita will be able to support apps in the future (whether those will be Android Apps is still unconfirmed.
  • A special app store for the Vita, Xperia Play and other Sony products is planned for the future (perhaps early 2013), however the fairly poor performance of the Xperia Play and Sony Tab have held this back somewhat. Also gaming and technology politics are rearing their ugly heads with Sony Corporate and Sony Mobile seeing the Vita as being stiff competition for the "Play" branded Sony mobiles and tablets, this has resulted in the Vita being held back from it's full potential for these devices to accrue greater market share.
  • With reference to certain Sony CES announcements and full device id integration for the Xperia Play and other products-a special App store will be created giving more games and apps for these Sony gaming products. Only the lack of app and game developers is holding this back at the moment.
  • Once the new Android system and store is up and running for the Xperia Play and other devices the PSP Vita will then be brought on board.
  • A new (Android) developers competition will soon be held by Sony for their new system
Thanks to our insider source for revealing the possible future of Xperia Play, PSP Vita and Android Powered Gaming Tablets. It looks to be a rosy future if the company politics sort themselves out.

Android Business App which massively increases WebTraffic

Android Business app to
increase website awareness
A so-called unacknowledged fact is that " Android business apps are better than the rest" . The web guru who decided that hadn't yet come across the bold web traffic Android app that is MyTrafficSolution . If he had he would have told all non-Android business app developers to just pack up and go home. This app is transformative and I'm just going to put myself out there a little bit and say that it could be one of the best apps for a blogger, network marketer or website owner to have.

I'm actually reluctant to write this review for two reasons. The first being that I sound like those much flogged internet pedlars that will sell you a product "guaranteed to increase your web-traffic a gazillion fold!" The second reason is that this is a fairly new business app just recently released on to the Android Market. Being a website owner myself I'm fairly reluctant to share the app as it really is starting to make a dramatic impact on my web traffic! Don't want to let the cat too much out of the bag on this hefty traffic increasing app, but it's Gametrender's job to tell you about the best new apps. So I suppose I'll have to....

The premise is simple, you have a website or blog or affiliate link that you want to drive masses of traffic to. You download MyTrafficSolution , choose which niche you want to target, for example: "Best free Android Apps" and you wait for thousands of eager people to start showing up on your websites doorstep.
MyTrafficSolution, top
Android business app

The internet magic takes place as the app has access to a massive domain of websites. If a visitor visits one of the websites that is now defunct, then they will be redirected via the Android app to you. If your site is in the same niche. The beauty of it is those visitors have actually searched for your particular niche, they're not automated traffic but actually real verifiable adult people. All eager to read what you have to say or buy what you have to sell , thanks to this extraordinary Android app for website owners and bloggers.

The app is even more intelligent than this as it links in to the acclaimed Arin.net so can determine a site visitors geographic location. Not to mention that the app also features IP tracking that can show you the IP address of all your redirect visitors.

To sum up: This is a very, very serious and powerful app for making your site visitors skyrocket. This app could just be the catalyst that puts your blog or other website into the big time.

How Che Cosa can help your app salary

How can having the Salary of Che Cosa help your app store?
So who is this Che Cosa anyway and what Earthly link could his salary have to you owning and running an Appstore. Actually not so much of a he as a concept the Italian Che Cosa translates into "What" ; but Cosa by itself issometimes used as " suck my Little Italian xxxx" So bluntly Che Cosa English = a definite insult!
On Jersey Shore the Italian mafioso type is not referring to his mafia pal or hitmen he is simply insulting Pauly D.
But it is this cocky self-righteous attitude that you as an app developer need to take forward to be a winner!Of course you wouldn't be wanting to run an Appstore to just get an average salary you want to be right up the Payscale and that's where exciting App Trending companies come in to it. As developers have tried to escape from the confines of a set payscale the Che Cosa idea has taken hold, the inflamed Italian arrogance followed by causing confusion to all around you as a winning business strategy!
Now you could either let App Developers come to you or you could go out in search of them. The trick being to catch an App before it's hit the big time so you can negotiate a good payment option between you and the developer, remember the idea of that Che Cosa attitude linked to a big  salary?

I suggest using services like Free App a Day and Appitude to find new and trending apps, from there it is a simple matter to choose the apps that fit in with your appstore ethos and contact the developers directly. Remember you have to have something to offer them, they won't give you the time of day unless you are free and open with them and have a legitimate appstore that has been marketed in the right ways to the public. And that is the way you run an Appstore to get that Fabled Che Cosa salary!

Making Profit with Paypal and QR Codes

How Paypal and the new QR Codes go hand in hand

In a recent article we covered the use of Ebay apps for your Android and Iphone.Like Ebay ,Qr codes are proving to be the next best thing for shopping with your smartphone.

An Android QR code or indeed an Iphone QR code can open up a whole new dimension for your shopping. Ever since apps like Google Goggles popularised the use of Smartphone cameras as barcode readers, shoppers; manufacturers and developers have been waiting for something new to set the great merchandise train in motion. QR codes might be that solution and if they are able to effectively link in with current Smartphone trends like Ebay apps and Google Checkout we might have a shopping monster on our hands!

First let's look at what QR codes are: Originally used to track Autoparts QR codes can now be found all over the web and are especially popular with Smartphones. They are able to encode information in their pictures and even use the reading device to perform an action such as go straight to a website encoded in the QR. Android phones especially are used to go directly to an App on the Android market, while to use QR codes Iphones need to use a reader such as QRReader
. Despite being slightly misunderstood these QR codes are everywhere, in newspapers; magazines and all over the internet. Particularly popular amongst app developers as they are actually quite easy to produce. A QR Generator is quite easy to find and download on the internet , so if you are an App developer or have any product to sell; whether you want people to pay via Paypal or Google wallet is irrelevant, because get their money you will as soon as they start scanning your QR Code.

And buyers: You know how easy a Paypal login is, and now that you've got a new and fantastic way to find stuff on the net you are just a Paypal login or a dip in your virtual Google Wallet away from owning it!

Why we all need to Download Steve Jobs

Now that Steve Jobs has left us it seems that the Smartphone world is a poorer place, to celebrate his life and times we are going to look at why you should download Steve Jobs ' speeches and how they will continue to be an inspiration to us all.

Using an Ipad to go on  to Itunes and look for the speeches of Steve Jobs can be no greater credit for this amazing man ( although if he was still around I would certainly be asking him some very direct questions as to why we can't use Flash Player on Ipad still!)

There are many podcasts on Itunes with some of Steve Jobs famous speeches including his first Imac Introduction
and of course when Steve Jobs presents the first 'Itunes Phone'

As we trace down the years of the rise and rise of Steve Jobs it's fascinating to see how he evolves from the original semi-geek to his own chic-geek style of black top and jeans, his dynamism is ever present and it is this that in the years to come will be needed to drive the tech and smartphone industries ever onwards.

It is not just the fact that I can download apps or do a software download on the Ipad or the million and one other things that makes it cool, what really makes it cool is that there is a face behind it, a charismatic genius who has inspired a generation. Watch or listen to any of Jobs speeches and you can't but help be carried away on a euphoric wave where the future is bright and exciting , the future is now! And if you want to buy in to that future then you need to buy his products. Yes, it is all marketing spin, but marketing spin delivered with such passion and conviction that the lines between believing it and it actually being true are so blurred that they become indistinquishable.

So are there any other tech baron visionaries out there who can deliver us the future as Steve Jobs did? Let's hope so as our crazy fast paced world of technology is much the less for his departure.

I highly recommend looking up Steve Jobs Youtube to find all the amazing videos of this genius' life.

Facebook best source for Black Friday Deals

Everybody's got Facebook and everybody knows about Black Friday; that is unless you've been living underneath an internet free technology proof rock for the last couple of years. Started by the kings of Online merchandising Amazon, who are so popular that they're even featured on my site (yup look to the right sidebar that's Amazon- hopefully giving you some good videogame deals right now!) the so called Black Friday deals have been going on for a few years now and even Youtube is awash with videos of poor saps boasting about how Black Friday 2010 and Black Friday 2009 gave them the best deals ever with Black Friday Tv and laptop deals and all the rest.

So how does Facebook tie up with all of this does facebook even have any credentials left after the controversy surrounding the notorious Facebook Hack in which all kinds of family unfriendly content was forced on users and literally millions of accounts private details were exposed. Well logging in to facebook whether it be from a Yahoo or Hotmail account if you're not immediately assaulted by a Facebook Hack porn attack you should be ready to converse , message and interact with all your friends, companions, acquaintances and otherwise. And despite everything Facebook is still one of the most powerful social tools out there. It is here of course and not avidly watching the countdown for Friday deals on the Amazon site that true deals can be found via word of mouth.

The average user of facebook has around about 160 friends connected to their profile (coincidentally sociologists say the same size as a medieval village-so perhaps our social habits haven't changed that much in all these years!) It is by speaking directly to your friends on Facebook that the most up to date and more importantly relevant information for yourself can be found regarding these Amazon deals.
So stop staring at your Black Friday TV that you bought five years ago and start interacting with your friends, who might just be able to quickly point out that the latest 3d TV on Amazon has reached rock bottom sub hundred dollar prices!

( Oh and please watch out that it is an actual friend speaking to you and not some facebook Hack directing you to an unsavoury website!)

App Marketing and Julian Edelmann

App Marketing and Julian Edelmann

Our recent article explored the link between Cosa Nostra and appstores, leading on from that we now consider how app marketing and Julian Edelmann are related. Of course, as you might know, "Julian Edelmann" was a very recent and high profile news headline , for those who don't know Julian Edelmann is/was the New England patriots Football player recently pressed into being a defensive back, and more importantly he was recently arrested for lewd public behaviour.
So how does this knowledge help the advertising of your app? Well firstly the lesson is that no matter how high profile you are integrity should first and foremost be the main  factor. It goes without saying that you need to be honest, it doesn't want to be a marketing scam with you trying to sell Angry Birds:Hogmanay New Year and coming up with a generic Pacman ripoff. Neither Rovio (Angry Bird's Daddys) nor your customers are going to be too pleased that you've done what in essence is a marketing scam by fraudently using a name you're not entitled to and not delivered what people have expected. So lesson number one if you're going to advertising for your app be honest!

Let's just quickly consider another form of marketing that seems to be becoming very popular and that you might find some success with or more than likely not:  Known as Vector Marketing  after the infamous company that targetsstudents aminly with the idea that thye can earn big bucks and then charges them to attende training seminars and buy Vector's products-most of the workers ending off even worse than before! Again Vector marketing scam is something that is coming up all the time on the internet, remember you're selling a good quality app with values so you certainly don't want to be part of any Vector marketing scam  or any other kind of marketing scam.

There are companies out there that will advertise your app for you (Gametrender included please see Contact above!) all providing a varying service to get your app know throughout the world. Prices vary widely so if you're going to use one of these services know precisely what you're paying for. The use of social media such as Twitter and Facebook is of course always recommended, but if you're a smaller app developer you've really got to ask yourself, do you have time to do that sort of marketing for your app?

Really the main and best way to make sure that you have good app sales is to take your app and polish it to such a degree and make it so entertaining and useful that the world can't help but buy millions of copies of your app. And remember, any other way that you choose to market your App , whether it be with a friendly awesome website like Gametrender or otherwise, don't be like Julian Edelmann, keep to doing what you do best and keep an untarnished reputation. Above all avoid all types of scams including the notorious  Vector marketing scam : Be honest and you will be successful.
